Jeremy Colliton Joins Devils Coaching Staff as Assistant Coach

NEWARK, N.J. -- On Tuesday morning, the New Jersey Devils announced that 39-year-old Jeremy Colliton will join Sheldon Keefe's coaching staff. The announcement was made by President/General Manager Tom Fitzgerald.
The press release states, "Colliton completes the on-ice coaching staff, including fellow assistants Ryan McGill, Chris Taylor, Sergei Brylin, and Goaltending Coach Dave Rogalski."
For the past two seasons, he was the head coach of the Vancouver Canucks' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Abbotsford Canucks. He led his team to back-to-back records of 40-25-7 during his time there.
He additionally has experience behind the NHL bench. In November 2018, the Chicago Blackhawks promoted Colliton to head coach after Joel Quenneville was fired. At that time, he was the youngest coach in the NHL. Colliton coached 205 games with Chicago, earning a record of 87-92-26 and making one postseason appearance.
Initially drafted by the New York Islanders in 2003, he appeared in 57 NHL games. His playing career ended due to continuous concussion symptoms.
