Jeremy Swayman continued his incredible play making 38 saves as the Boston Bruins take Game 1 on the road against the Florida Panthers.
Swayman finished his first-round series against the Toronto Maple Leafs with a .950SV% and a 1.50GAA. He was the MVP of the series and was the biggest reason why the Bruins came out on top. The same story has followed into round 2. The Panthers peppered the 25-year-old American with 39 shots and he turned 38 of them away. The Panthers scored the first goal of the game but the Bruins answered quickly and ran away with it, scoring five unanswered goals.
The New York Rangers and Carolina Hurricanes will play Game 2 tonight while the Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche will begin their series at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
