Maxim Tsyplakov is expected to make his New Jersey Devils debut tonight against the Nashville Predators.
After joining the Devils on Tuesday, the right winger brings experience from two seasons with the New York Islanders.
This season, Tsyplakov has played 27 games with the Islanders, recording 1 goal and 1 assist for 2 points.
He joins the Devils after a trade that sent Ondrej Palat, a 2026 third-round pick, and a 2027 sixth-round pick to the Islanders.
The undrafted forward is in the first year of his two-year, $4.5 million contract.
Throughout his career, he has played 104 NHL games, recording 26 assists and 11 goals for 37 points.
He is expected to skate on the second line; he will play alongside Nico Hischier and Arseny Gritsyuk.
The puck will drop at 7 pm tonight as the 27-year-old is expected to hit the ice for the Devils for the first time.
