The organization announced on Saturday afternoon that Hughes has returned to New Jersey.

On Saturday afternoon, the New Jersey Devils confirmed Jack Hughes returned to New Jersey after participating in Thursday and Friday's NHL All-Star festivities.
"Jack went home to Jersey last night after participating in Thursday's draft and Friday's media hits," the organization said in a post on X. He was extremely honored to be a part of the All-Star Weekend, especially sharing it with his brother.
He's really close to returning and wanted to get back so he could continue to focus on the rest of the Devils season."
The first-overall pick was selected for his third All-Star Game this year after being a Devils representative for the previous two seasons.
Hughes could not participate in Toronto this year due to an upper-body injury sustained on Jan 5 against the Chicago Blackhawks. He has missed ten games.
Hughes attended Thursday's All-Star Draft held at Scotiabank Arena and participated in media availability on Friday.
Hughes co-captained Team Hughes with his brother Quinn. During the player draft, Hughes was asked why he came to Toronto despite being unable to play.
"Draft a team with my brother," he said with a smile. "That's pretty fun. I think we drafted a good team. Hopefully, they win it."
Hughes drafted his Devils teammate, Jesper Bratt, with their fifth pick.
"I tried to give him a heads up and said, 'Hey, I don't want it to be like my first draft experience to have to wait that long, so if you see me there in the crowd, please pick me,'" Bratt jokingly said to attending media.
Bratt joins Nikita Kucherov, Thatcher Demko, Kyle Connor, Brady Tkachuk, Cam Talbot, Brock Boeser, J.T. Miller, and Frank Vatrano.
