NEWARK, N.J. -- In February, New Jersey Devils forward Jack Hughes will represent Team USA at the 4 Nations Face-Off.
He will join his brother, Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes, who was named to the roster in June.
The 4 Nations Face-Off will be held from Feb. 12 to 20, 2025, in Boston and Montreal and will include Canada, Sweden, Finland, and the USA.
Many project Hughes as the second or third-line center playing behind Auston Matthews and possibly Jack Eichel.
Hughes played for the U.S. National Team Development Program (USNTDP) from 2017-2019. After the 2017–18 season, he was awarded the Dave Tyler Junior Player of the Year Award as the best American-born player in junior ice hockey. The following season, he broke the NTDP all-time points record that Clayton Keller previously held.
This season, Hughes has 33 points (11 goals, 22 assists) in 28 games, second most behind Jesper Bratt. The 23-year-old has eight points over his last three games, including back-to-back three-point performances over the Washington Capitals and New York Rangers.
The 2019 first-overall pick has 314 points in 334 career games, including 125 goals.
