

LOS ANGELES, C.A. -- The New Jersey Devils held a Saturday afternoon practice less than 24 hours after their disappointing 4-3 loss to the Anaheim Ducks.
Newly acquired Kurtis MacDermid was not at practice as he had yet to arrive in Los Angeles. His former team, the Colorado Avalanche, was in Nashville, Tennessee. Per the Devils, the 29-year-old left Music City and returned to Colorado before traveling to meet his new team.

Curtis Lazar and Tyler Toffoli swapped lines, which reunites the latter with Jack Hughes. According to Statmuse, Toffoli has 19 goals and 15 assists and has a plus-minus of -8 in 44 games with Hughes.
As a reminder, New Jersey assigned Brian Halonen to the Utica Comets (American Hockey League) to accommodate a roster spot for MacDermid.
Puck drop between the Devils and Kings will be on Sunday at 3:30 P.M. EST and will be broadcast on TNT.
