New Jersey Devils forward Curtis Lazar was injured in the team's 4-3 victory over the Ottawa Senators.

NEWARK, N.J. -- New Jersey Devils interim head coach Travis Green confirmed Curtis Lazar is not only out of the lineup Sunday night against the Nashville Predators but could be done for the rest of the 2023-24 season.
"I don't know if we'll see (Lazar) for the rest of the regular season or not," he said.
Lazar left Saturday night's game against the Ottawa Senators in the second period. According to the play-by-play, the 29-year-old did not return after being credited with a hit on Senators forward Parker Kelly.
Green added that the versatile veteran "was not great."
Shane Bowers, who was recalled from the Utica Comets on Sunday afternoon, will draw into the lineup and replace Lazar.
Lazar was wrapping up a career season in which he collected 25 points (seven goals, 18 assists) in 71 games. He was one goal shy of tying his career-high of eight, which he earned during the 2021-22 season as a member of the Boston Bruins.
On April 5, the New Jersey chapter of the Professional Hockey Writers Association announced Lazar as their nominee for the Bill Masterton Trophy, awarded annually to the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to the game.
