The Devils practiced in Newark, NJ, on Friday afternoon before traveling to Ottawa.

NEWARK, N.J. -- The New Jersey Devils held an 11:00 a.m. practice Friday at RWJBarnabas Health Hockey House before traveling north to Ottawa. 

Jake Allen was the first player on the ice, quickly followed by his goaltending partner,   Kaapo Kahkonen. Nolan Foote joined his teammate on the ice for the first time since interim head coach Travis Green confirmed he got re-injured on March 19.

  • John Marino was not on the ice. Green told the attending media that the defenseman would travel with the team to Ottawa and that they would make a decision on his availability on Saturday.
  • After practice began, the organization announced that Max Willman was assigned to the Utica Comets. The depth forward recently scored goals in back-to-back games against the Toronto Maple Leafs and Buffalo Sabres.
