New Jersey Devils interim head coach Travis Green provided an update on Nolan Foote's status ahead of his team's game against the Ottawa Senators.

On Apr. 5, New Jersey Devils forward Nolan Foote joined his team for practice for the first time since suffering another injury in mid-March.
Foote sustained an undisclosed injury during the preseason. He was activated off non-roster, injured reserve on Mar. 11, and did one conditioning stint with the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League (AHL).
During that stint, Foote appeared in four games and collected four points. In a weekend back-to-back, Foote had two goals and an assist on Mar. 8 and one goal on Mar. 9.
Green was asked about the 23-year-old's status ahead of the Devils' game against the Ottawa Senators on Apr. 6.
"He's getting there. He has only had one team skate," Green said. "There is not a lot of practice time left, either. We are trying to get him engaged with the group as much as we can. He will skate tomorrow and probably join the team full-time once tomorrow comes."
The Devils have six games remaining before the conclusion of the 2023-24 regular season, including three in front of the home crowd at Prudential Center: Nashville Predators on Apr. 7, Toronto Maple Leafs on Apr. 9, and the New York Islanders on Apr. 15.
