The New Jersey Devils announced on Monday that they had signed 21-year-old Matyas Melovsky to a two-year entry-level contract, set to begin with the 2026-27 season.

Melovsky currently plays for the Utica Comets on a one-year AHL contract. In 35 Comets games, Melovsky has three goals and 10 assists.

Before joining Utica, Melovsky played for Baie-Comeau Drakkar in the QMJHL, recording 83 points in 57 games.

The Devils selected Melovsky in the sixth round of the 2024 NHL Draft. The forward is in his first North American professional season.

General manager Tom Fitzgerald announced that the entry-level deal starts in the 2026-27 season.
