It has been an eventful morning in the world of the New Jersey Devils. First, they announced the signing of Anthony Mantha, who is going to help them improve their overall forward group. 

Then, along with the rest of the NHL, the Devils announced their home-opener for the 2026-27 season. 

New Jersey will open the season at home against the Philadelphia Flyers on October 1st. It will be their chance to start the year strong against a division rival who had their number one year prior and ultimately ended up winning a playoff series. 

The Devils will be the road team for the New York Islanders' home opener two days later on October 3rd. That's two tough tests for the Devils within the division right off the bat. 

The rest of the schedule will be released on Thursday at 1PM ET.
