The New York Rangers take a commanding 3-0 series lead after beating the Carolina Hurricanes 3-2

The Hurricanes once again outshot the Rangers but the quality of shots were not there and they came out on the losing side. Igor Shesterkin stopped 45 of the 47 shots he faced. The Panarin, Vicent Trocheck and Alexis Lafreniere line continued its dominance. The line combined for two goals including the overtime winner. Panarin and Lafreniere have nine points in seven games and Trocheck has 12 points in seven games this postseason.

The Dallas Stars narrowly held on to their 4-0 lead to beat the Colorado Avalanche 5-3

The Stars came out flying once again jumping out to a multi-goal lead. Miro Heiskanen scored twice on the power play, Roope Hintz scored his second of the playoffs and Tyler Seguin scored shorthanded to give the Stars a 4-0 lead. In the third period, the Stars started to play too passively and tentatively and allowed the Avalanche back in the game. They scored three unanswered and had a power play with 2:55 remaining. The Stars were able to kill it off and score into the empty net but that wasn't before the Avalanche had their chances.

The Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers will battle it out in Game 3 tonight and the Vancouver Canucks will look to win both games at home over the Edmonton Oilers who could be without a couple of key players.
