The New York Rangers completed the sweep over the Washington Capitals while the Colorado Avalanche, Vancouver Canucks and the Edmonton Oilers took 3-1 series leads.

The Colorado Avalanche dominated the second period thanks to Valeri Nichushkin and beat the Winnipeg Jets 5-1

The Vezina favourite was once again peppered with shots and wasn't able to bail out his team. Connor Hellebuyck was pulled from the game for the first time during these playoffs. Through two periods he gave up four goals on 30 shots. In the four games this series, he's given up six goals, four goals, five goals and four goals. A total of 19 goals. The Avalanche power play is clicking on all cylinders and produced two goals yesterday. Cale Makar went end-to-end to score a great solo goal. If the Jets are unable to slow down the Avalanche, the series may be over very soon.

The Vancouver Canucks score with eight seconds left to force overtime and win 4-3 over the Nashville Predators

Brock Boeser finished the regular season with 40 goals and 73 points which was a career year for him. In Game 4, he was as clutch as they come. Boeser scored all three goals in regulation, including the game-tying goals with eight seconds remaining.

Boeser's goal followed an empty net miss by Colton Sissons. He would have likely iced the game and evened up the series.

Instead, Boeser tied it and in overtime, Elias Lindholm scored his second goal of the playoffs just over a minute into the overtime frame.

The New York Rangers completed the sweep with a 4-2 win over the Washington Capitals

The Rangers went three for four on the power play to beat the Capitals. The Rangers were able to hold Alex Ovechkin in check all series long. In four games he failed to score or record a point and finished with just five shots on goal. The Rangers will play the winner of the Carolina Hurricanes and New York Islanders series.

The Edmonton Oilers wn 1-0 over the Los Angeles Kings

The Oilers finished with just 13 shots on goal but were able to get past the Kings in Game 4. Stuart Skinner stopped all 33 shots the Kings threw at him. The first three games of the series all had over seven or more goals but Game 4 was an interesting change of pace. The Oilers capitalized on their only power play opportunity and it was enough for them to win and take a 3-1 series lead.
