New Jersey Devils prospects Seamus Casey and Ethan Edwards were eliminated in the NCAA Frozen Four when the University of Michigan lost 4-0 to Charlie Leddy and Boston College.
This season for Michigan, Casey scored seven goals and 45 points in 39 games. The Devils' second-round pick from the 2022 draft manned the Wolverines' top power play unit and was also part of the USA team that won gold at the 2024 World Juniors.
Edwards this season was a key penalty killer for the Wolverines. He scored three goals and 10 points in 20 games. Edwards missed a large portion of the season due to rehabbing offseason surgery.
The Devils used their fourth-round pick in 2020 to select the 5'10 defenseman.
Charlie Leddy and Boston College will play in the National Championship game on Saturday when they play Denver University. Leddy was drafted by the Devils in the fourth round in the 2022 NHL draft. In his second season with the Eagles, he recorded eight assists in 38 games.

Will Smith (twice), Cutter Gauthier and Gabe Perreault scored the goals for the Eagles. Jacob Fowler recorded a shutout.
Boston College's second goal banked off of both of Edward's skates before going in giving Smith his second goal of the game.

Edwards just concluded his junior year and he'll likely return to Michigan to play his senior year. Casey has played two seasons of College hockey. No reports have been made about whether Casey will return to Michigan or sign with the Devils. He still has two years of NCAA eligibility.
