Utica Comets defenseman Seamus Casey saw his seven-game point streak end Monday against the Cleveland Monsters.

The New Jersey Devils re-assigned rookie defenseman Seamus Casey to the American Hockey League on Oct. 21. The 20-year-old made his Utica Comets debut days later on Oct. 25.
Since then, Casey has been a bright spot in an otherwise bleak season for the Comets, who are winless through 12 games.
In his debut, he collected two assists and never looked back. Over the next six games, he earned seven points, including his first career AHL goal.
Despite his two shots on goal, Casey's point streak came to an end at seven games on Monday evening in the Comets' 4-0 loss to the Cleveland Monsters.
The 5-foot-9 defenseman has been consistently making an impact, being utilized as the quarterback of the first power play unit, and is part of the team's top defensive pair with Colton White.
Casey and the Comets will look for their first win of the season on Saturday, Nov. 16, when the club hosts the Syracuse Crunch.
