Cizikas is a go tonight against the Lightning.
EAST MEADOW, NY -- The New York Islanders have been without fourth-line forward Casey Cizikas for the last 10 games, but that streak ends Thursday night.
Ahead of their 8 PM puck drop against the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Islanders have activated Cizikas out of long-term injured reserve, sending Kyle MacLean to Bridgeport to open up a roster spot and create enough cap space.
Over the last 10 games, the Islanders have gone 3-5-2 and have made a coaching change.
MacLean filled Cizikas' role as best he could, but the energizer bunny's return is very much welcomed as New York is now as healthy as they've been the entire season.
Thursday night will be the first night Cizikas will play for new head coach Patrick Roy.
