ELMONT, NY -- New York Islanders defenseman Scott Mayfield will not play against the Los Angeles Kings. 

The 32-year-old missed Tuesday's morning skate due to illness and clearly wasn't able to give it a go.

In 29 games, Mayfield has one goal and four assists for five points, leading the team with a +10. 

Grant Hutton will skate in his spot alongside Dennis Cholowski on the team's bottom pairing
