    Following the New York Islanders' 3-0 shutout loss to the New Jersey Devils on Friday night, listen to Islanders Overtime with Stefen Rosner.

    The New York Islanders NHL roster struggled mightily against the New Jersey Devils' farm system, as they were shut out 3-0 at UBS Arena.

    It was a sloppy game for New York, whose slow start carried on for the duration of the sixty-minute affair. 

    The power play remained the weak point, going 0-for-4, allowing a shorthanded goal. 

    Yes, the Islanders may have hit the net 30 times, but the quality of those shots wasn't close to where it needs to be to compete.  

    "We had to be harder, and we weren't hard enough," head coach Lane Lambert said after the game, as they prepare for the start of the regular season a week from Saturday.
