    Brock Nelson is remaining honest.

    Brock Nelson is remaining honest.

Following Team USA's second practice day in Montreal ahead of their 4 Nations Face-Off opener on Thursday, New York Islanders forward Brock Nelson was asked about his future.

Quotes via Ethan Sears of The New York Post, who is on the ground in Montreal:

To be completely clear, Sears shared that the question was about Nelson's future, not if he wanted to be with the Islanders going forward.

The 33-year-old pending unrestricted free agent has only spent his career on Long Island.

However, with the Islanders not in a playoff spot at the break and Nelson's value on the trade market, general manager Lou Lamoriello may have no choice but to move No. 29 if the two can't come to terms on a contract agreement.

It seems that we'll get an answer, one way or another, by March 7th's NHL Trade Deadline.
