Terry accomplished this milestone against the Hershey Bears

On Friday night, Chris Terry threw on the Bridgeport Islanders sweater and hit the ice for his 1,000th professional hockey game in Hershey, PA, against the Bears.

The 35-year-old, who is back for his second stint with Bridgeport, has now played in 829 AHL games, 152 NHL games, and 19 games in the KHL after debuting with the Albany River Rats on Apr. 9, 2008.

    Per Bridgeport's press release:

“It’s been quite the ride, I love what I do and I’ve loved it for a lone time,” Terry said. “I love to compete and try to win hockey games, but obviously there’s a lot of people that have helped me get to where I am today. This isn’t possible without the support of my parents and my wife, family and friends, and honestly, just really great teammates and coaches, that have allowed me to keep playing.”

On the way to this incredible milestone, Terry has suited up for seven different organizations and currently is the AHL's all-time active leader with 312 goals and 752 points.
