The Bridgeport Islanders announced that they have signed Chris Terry for the 2024-2025 season.

This is his second go-around with Bridgeport, as he was a part of the team for two seasons from 2021-2023.

The 35-year-old forward has played in the AHL for 14 seasons, playing 815 games with seven different teams and recording 741 points.

In 152 career NHL games split between the Carolina Hurricanes and Montreal Canadiens, he's scored 22 goals with 16 assists for 38 points.

Terry averaged at least a point per game in both of his Bridgeport Islanders seasons, scoring 30 goals and 31 assists in 61 games in the 2021-22 season before six points (two goals, four assists) in Bridgeport’s Calder Cup Playoffs run.

The following season, he exploded for a career-high in points with 78 (27 goals, 51 assists) to lead the team. His 51 assists is a team record.

Terry spent last season with the Chicago Wolves, scoring 50 points (21 goals, 29 assists) in 61 games while serving as the team’s captain.

Leadership has been a theme for his career, as Terry has been an alternate captain for six of his 14 professional seasons, including the two he spent in Bridgeport.

The AHL Islanders' preseason begins Thursday when they take on the Hartford Wolf Pack at 6 p.m.
