EAST MEADOW, NY -- New York Islanders forward Hudson Fasching has returned from his three-game conditioning stint in Bridgeport, as he was on the ice for Friday's practice.
The 28-year-old forward had a goal in those three games, an empty-net power-play goal back on Sunday against the Springfield Thunderbirds.
Although Fasching is back on Long Island, that doesn't mean that he will be in the Islanders' lineup when they host the Boston Bruins on Saturday night at UBS Arena.
Despite missing the minimum 10 games for a LTIR stint, missing 11, the Islanders don't have the salary cap space ($135,000) to fit his $775,000 cap hit unless they make a roster move.
We'll see if a move is made before then.
This story will be updated following practice.
