With two wins in the Golden State in the books, the New York Islanders (29-20-14) play their final Western Conference road game of the season against the Los Angeles Kings (32-20-11).

Puck drop from Crypto.com Arena is scheduled for 10:30 p.m.

The Islanders bested the Kings in their first matchup this season on Dec. 9 at UBS Arena. The Kings jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second period of play, but Anders Lee scored twice to get the Islanders even in the third. The ensuing overtime lasted only 13 seconds, as Jean-Gabriel Pageau finished a breakaway, giving the Islanders a 3-2 win and snapping the Kings' historic 11-game winning streak on the road.

After a 20-7-4 start, Los Angles went 3-8-6 in their following 17 games, resulting in head coach Todd McLellan being fired.

Former Islanders assistant coach Jim Hiller assumed interim coaching duties on Feb. 2 and has a 9-5-1 record as Kings bench boss.

"Jimmy's a good guy, who loves the game," Cal Clutterbuck said. "He's got a good mind for hockey. And he's just a fun guy to be around. That coupled with his passion and hockey knowledge, they got a pretty good one."

Hiller worked with the Islanders power play and Noah Dobson said he learned a lot from him.

"I got a lot of respect for Jimmy as a coach. I thought he was great. Coming in, my first couple years, he really helped me a lot, working with the defenseman. So, I'm happy to see him get the job here in LA and I got a lot of respect for him as a coach and what he did for me."

Where They've Been:

The Kings dropped their last game against the Dallas Stars on Saturday. Kevin Fiala opened the scoring 26 seconds into the game, but that was the only time the Kings found the back of the net. Radek Faksa and David Robertson lit the lamp in the second period, while Wyatt Johnston and Joe Pavelski added insurance in the third, helping Dallas to a 4-1 win.
