NEW YORK, NY -- On Tuesday night, the New York Islanders top line of Anthony Duclair, Bo Horvat, and Mathew Barzal got in for their first preseason game.
After a strong first period, Duclair and Barzal connected for the opening tally at 3:41 of the second period.
It was a thing of beauty.
Duclair, who signed a four-year deal worth $3.5 million on July 1, brings the speed necessary to play with a player like Barzal.
"I'm really looking forward to playing with him and creating some magic out there," Duclair said at the team's golf outing a few weeks ago.
He spoke that into existence.
