A year after the New York Islanders hit the great outdoors, two of their prospects will do the same.

On Jan. 4, 2025, New York Islanders prospects Zach Schulz and Quinn Finley will hit the great outdoors at Wrigley Field when Wisconsin plays Michigan University:

Schulz, the Islander sixth-round pick in 2023, had two goals and four assists in his freshman season manning the Ohio State blue line.

After serving as the sixth and seventh defenseman for Team USA in the World Junior Summer Showcase, the Michigan native is projected to make the national team for the 2025 World Junior Championships coming Dec. 26 in Ottawa.

Finley, the Islanders third-round pick in 2022, scored 10 goals with six assists in 32 games as a freshman forward.

They'll be going up against a Michigan team that still has Rutger McGroarty on it. The Winnipeg Jets prospect is rumored to be on the move due to differences of opinion regarding his path to an NHL job.

The 14th overall pick in 2022 had 52 points (16 goals, 36 assists) in his sophomore season before nine points (five goals. four assists) in seven games, captaining Team USA to a Gold medal at the 2024 World Junior Championships.

Islanders prospect camp should begin in mid-September, so stay tuned for a date release.
