UBS Arena is a leader in stability and has been rewarded for its efforts.

After 'The Park' at UBS Arena won an NHL Stanley Award, the New York Islanders' home has also received a prestigious honor.

Front Office Sports has awarded UBS Arena the 2024 Most Sustainable Award.

"Thank you to our incredible staff & partners who continue to strive for excellence in sustainability," UBS Arena shared. "Rooted in community and environmental impact, our beautiful home is an inspiring example of how values become actions."

Since opening its doors in November 2021, the state-of-the-art venue in Elmont has focused heavily on its impact on the nearby community and the environment through investments in sustainable operations. It also acts as a catalyst for forging impactful partnerships.

The Park is a huge part of this.

Carbon Neutrality, which is when the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere is equal to the amount the atmosphere absorbs, has been a major focus of UBS Arena. This is otherwise known as net zero carbon.

"UBS Arena has achieved carbon neutrality for all scope 1 and 2 emissions from operations. By purchasing carbon and renewable energy credits, the arena reached this milestone 2 years ahead of schedule," UBS Arena shared on their website.

They also use only LED lights and sensor technology to save energy while promoting community and fan programs that focus on attaining lifestyles that help with using less carbon and healthier habits.

UBS Arena is showing every step of the way that it not only cares about the people who walk through its doors but also serves as a sustainability leader in the sports and entertainment community.
