Sound Beach native Brandon Bussi celebrates his championship victory at the Hauppauge Rink before hosting a public party at Freeport’s Nautical Mile. Catch the homecoming celebration this Wednesday.
On Wednesday, Carolina Hurricanes Stanley Cup-winning goaltender and Sound Beach, Long Island native Brandon Bussi is bringing the hardware to Long Island.
Here's the schedule for his day with the Stanley Cup:
From 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM ET, Bussi will be at The Rink in Hauppauge, NY, the place where his dream for hockey was born. Suffolk County executive Edward P. Romaine will be the one to officially declare the day "Brandon Bussi Day".
Then, Bussi, his family, and close friends will head out on a boat — Hagens' boat, actually — to the Nautical Mile in Freeport, where they'll then get the party started at Bracco's, located at 319 Woodcleft Ave.
The party at Bracco's is from 6 PM to PM ET and is open to the public.
Keep in mind that the Nautical Mile gets packed in the summer and finding parking, specifically on Woodcleft Ave, will be tough so I'd recommend using ride share if you are going to attend.
