Bo Horvat was a menace against the Dallas Stars last season.

The New York Islanders are in Dallas on Saturday to battle the Stars at 8 PM ET.

The two sides battled each other twice in the second half of last season, where Bo Horvat played hero, scoring the overtime tally in each game.

    Let's flash back.

On Jan. 20, the Islanders announced that they had fired Lane Lambert and hired Hockey Hall of Fame goaltender Patrick Roy to replace him.

The next day, the Islanders played the Dallas Stars at UBS Arena, a quick turnaround for Roy and his new group.

Entering the third period down 2-1, Hudson Fasching tied the game at 5:23 of the period.

The game would need overtime, where Mathew Barzal made a tremendous off-the-board pass to Horvat, who then came in on Stars goaltender Scott Wedgewood, roofing a backhand to give Roy his first win in his first game:

Then, on Feb. 26, the Islanders headed to Dallas, hoping to stop a two-game skid.

Like the previous game between the two sides, this one would also need overtime.

Barzal put on an absolute clinic before finding Horvat for a one-time finish:

The replay doesn't do Barzal justice for his play during the extra period before the goal, which began in the defensive zone.

Here's a detailed breakdown of Barzal's overtime period:

In 20 career games against Dallas, Horvat has eight goals with six assists for 14 points.
