Since 1991, the New York Islanders have handed out the Bob Nystrom Award, which recognizes a member of the team who "exemplifies leadership, hustle, and dedication."
Former Islanders Zach Parise won the award in each of the two previous seasons, with Jean-Gabriel Pageau winning it in 2020-21, Matt Martin winning it in 2019-20, and Casey Cizikas taking home the hardware in 2017-18 and 2018-19.
