With Lou Lamoriello still the general manager of the New York Islanders, there won't be any drastic changes to the team's UBS Arena ice. But what about something small?

Ahead of the 2024-25 NHL season, some teams have adjusted their center ice logos.

The Ottawa Senators and Vancouver Canucks have gone the route of having their logo take up the entirety of the center ice.

The Florida Panthers added a winning element to the middle of their ice after hoisting Lord Stanley a few months ago:

Pour one out for the employee who was fired for leaking the picture before the team did.

The New York Islanders are way ahead of the blow-up logo look, with their center stamp incorporating their entire circular logo.

With general manager Lou Lamoriello still at the helm, no fan should expect any drastic changes coming to UBS Arena ice this fall.

But what about adding something small that would give Islanders fans a reason to smile a bit when they stared down at the ice?

Talking with many alumni over the last few years, they credit Lamoriello and Islanders owners Scott Malkin and Jon Ledecky with bringing past players back into the fold with different events.

There's a way for the ice to pay homage to the Dynasty era without being too flashy -- too un-Lou-Lamoriello-like.

In 1998, the Islanders added four stripes to their shoulder patch to honor the four straight Stanley Cups from 1980-1983.

The four slashes went away ahead of the 2007-08 season, making their way back on their alternate sweaters in 2018 where stick tape would be on the "Y":

With Fanatics now taking over for Adidas, those alternate sweaters won't be returning for the 2024-25 season.

The Islanders are not expected to have a third jersey again until the 2025-26 season.

So, why not incorporate the four slash marks on the red line?

If we zoom in on the Panthers' new red line, we will see white stars on either side going from the outskirts of the circle to the boards.

So, the Islanders could make their red line completely red like the Panthers and add four white stripes at the top and below the logo, a nice touch to their history.

This is what their red line looks like:

This proposed change may not seem like much, but it may be a little something-something to go along with the other changes around the NHL.
