Last night the New York Rangers partook in the NHL and NHLPA's Hockey Fights Cancer fundraiser. It is the 25th year of the charitable initiatives existence, which aims to raise funds and awareness toward cancer research.
100% of all donations and bidding go towards the V Foundation, founded in 1993 by ESPN and the late NC state basketball coach Jim Valvano. The goal is to "fund game-changing research dedicated to improving treatment options, finding cures and saving lives." (NHL.com)
