Let's face it. Let's not kid ourselves or get too carried away by last night's New York Rangers win over Calgary.

Much of the like was about Igor Shesterkin's goaltending and the Bottom Six forwards.

Plus, we're talking about what basically was a one-goal game, undecided until Jimmy Vesey scored an open net goal.

All it took was one Big Apple Turnover, and we'd be singing the Blues and not the Blueshirts.

No, the Rangers don't have The Invisible Man on the roster but the power play cannot be seen and is not heard from. It has vanished as if disappearing in the Scottish Moors (from a Sherlock Holmes movie.)

It was so awful during the Calgary game that coach Lavender Lavvy changed what was posing as the top PP unit. Pistol Pete actually hauled Jonny Brodzinsky off the bench and placed him in the first outfit with Mika The Z and Christopher Kreider.

Right off the bat, it paid dividends.

    Yeah, for Calgary.

Lavvy tried a few other combos; none of which were grand.

Thus; the question and power play Punch Line.

"How do you get to Carnegie Hall?"

    "PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!"
