Normally when it comes to picking the New York Rangers "Unsung Hero," we have to wait for the end of the season, but The Maven can't wait.
As far as I'm concerned -- and I don't mean maybe either -- the choice is easy -- Jimmy Vesey.
For my money, there's too much talk about Breadman and his wry pumpernickel -- not to mention that Foxy Bagelmeister -- and not enough about Vesey.

Facts, folks, facts.
* GOALS: He's got 11 already -- as much as all last season.
* GAME-WINNERS. The New Englander had four all of 2022-23 and already has a quartet of red lights.
* HUSTLING, SHOT-BLOCKING, FORECHECKING, CREATING TURNOVERS: Easy Vesey does it all, and he's on the ice for more goals than goals against.
What more do you want; this is what Unsung Hero is all about.
Since the one-time Hobey Baker Award winner does his job so well and with little fuss and fanfare, he deserves some sort of prize this very minute or before tonight's game with Calgary.
Breadman: I order you to give Easy Vesey a small rye, sliced -- without seeds.
Foxy Bagelman: Bring your non-starry but excellent teammate, Vesey, a bag of "Everythings." (Buttered, toasted, and tasty, if you don't mind!)
