Ahead of the Dallas Stars game tonight against the New York Rangers, the Stars have called up a highly regarded prospect.

Logan Stankoven has been recalled from the AHL's Texas Stars and is prepared to make his NHL debut on Tuesday night. Defenseman Alexander Petrovic has been sent down to make this move possible.

The 20-year-old forward leads the AHL in points with 57, coming from 24 goals and 33 assists in 46 games for Texas. Stankoven scored in his professional debut back on Oct. 13 and started his AHL career with a four-game point streak. He was one of three Stars representatives at the 2024 AHL All-Star Classic in San Jose.

Stankoven was selected 47th overall by Dallas in 2021, a second-round selection. He is a native of Kamloops, BC and played his junior hockey with the Kamloops Blazers of the WHL.

If he does draw into tonight's lineup, it will be his NHL debut. Stankoven has been assigned jersey number 11.
