Vincent Trocheck is one of the most efficient cost-per-point forwards in the NHL this season.

New York Rangers' center Vincent Trocheck is one of the most cost-efficient skaters in the NHL (H/t Mike Bartner).

Since Nov. 1, Trocheck has recorded 39 points (13 goals, 26 assists), 46 hits, 20 takeaways, and a 62.2 faceoff win percentage.

The 30-year-old pivot ranks eight on the list, which consists of forwards with a $4 million AAV.

At the start of the season, No.16 skated on a line with Blake Wheeler and Will Cuylle. The Rangers had a 2C play at 3C, with Filip Chytil on the second line.

When Filip Chytil suffered an upper-body injury on Nov. 2, moving Trocheck up was a fluid move because the Rangers have an abundance of bottom-six centers on the roster.

From that point on, Trocheck has arguably been the New York Ranger's best player, on one of the best offensive lines in the NHL.

He is on a point-per-game pace, registering 43 points (14 goals, 29 assists) in 43 games.

The fear of letting Ryan Strome go in the summer of 2022 was the connection he had with Artemi Panarin

Although it took a season to adjust, the Rangers are getting the most out of their second line.
