
Ron Greschner made his NHL debut against the Buffalo Sabres on November 3rd, 1974. He recorded an assist, a +2 rating, and 4 SOG.
The 6'2 Saskatchewan native was selected by the club in the 1974 NHL entry-level draft, 32nd overall.
"Gresh" would play for the Rangers from the 1974-1975 season to the 1989-1990 season, skating in 981 games. He recorded 179 goals, 431 assists, and 610 points. He's second all-time in club history for goals, assists, and points.
His career began with the first-ever playoff matchup between the Islanders and Rangers, where the urbanites won in six games. The Rangers were then on the wrong side of the Islanders dynasty in the early 1980's. In his final season, after a decade of agony, the Rangers defeated the Islanders in the 1990 playoffs.
He continues to be an active New York Ranger alumnus.
