The Boston College Eagles are the number one ranked team in NCAA Men's College Hockey according to the USCHO and USA Today polls (through October 30th games).

Gabriel Perrault slid in the 2023 NHL Draft, where the Rangers snagged the playmaker 23rd overall. He was projected to go as high as 12th overall by NHL analysts

As a freshman this year, he has put up 1 goal, 10 assists, and 11 points in 8 games. He is the team leader in assists and tied for the team lead in points with Will Smith.

This is what Everything College Hockey had to say about the Rangers thrilling prospect in August:

Perrault stockpiled 53 goals and 79 assists in 63 games for the United States Hockey National Development Program. He broke Auston Matthews single-season program points record of 117 points (2014-2015) with 132 (2022-2023).

He remains the fourth all-time career point scorer for the organization. His 185 tallies trail Jack Hughes (228), Will Smith (191), and Clayton Keller (189).

The Sherbrooke, Quebec native skates with the same linemates at Boston College that he had for his USNDTP tenure, Will Smith (SJS, 2023 4th overall) and Ryan Leonard (WSH, 2023 8th overall).

Last season the Eagles were 8-11-5, losing to Merrimack in the Hockey East tournament and failing to qualify for the national tournament. Perreault is part of a resurging Boston College program that has hopes of reaching the Frozen Four in St. Paul, Minnesota next April.
