The New York Rangers captain talked with Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek about an array of topics. Here are the highlights.

Development of K'Andre Miller: Trouba talked about how good of a skater his d-partner K'Andre Miller is and how he was there for him as a friend during his contract negotiation over the summer. He mentions how the two talked about Adam Fox's growth from year one to year two and how that isn't the normal trajectory for every player.

The Artist: Living in the city doesn't make it easy for Trouba to golf, so he picked up a new hobby; painting. He walks from his place over to Brooklyn where his friend has a studio. That's where he taps into his artistic side. His form of art, body checking blank canvases. He stated he hung a few pieces in his apartment already.

The Rangers Will Have a Great Season If... "We play to our full potential." This interview was taped before the season so a lot of the Laviolette talk was speculative. Trouba was direct in answering what the Rangers need to do to win a championship this season. The team is currently 11-2-1, having played without Adam Fox, Filip Chytil, and Igor Shesterkin in the last 4 games.
