One of the biggest topics of conversation early on this summer in regard to the New York Rangers is what the future might look like for Alexis Lafreniere and Kaapo Kakko.
Mike Rupp joined The Blue Crew podcast to talk about the current state of this Rangers team, specifically about the two of them.
"I have no problem with their progress right now. I don't. Sure, would you like it to be further along? Who wouldn't? Especially when you see some of the other top first and second-overall picks. But they are taking strides, the problem is that this team arrived earlier than expected. You've got to smoke this out, either these guys are going to take it in stride and hit that next level, or you're going to realize that maybe this player isn't going to be what we thought."
