    The New York Rangers announce the team's 48-man roster heading into its first preseason tilt against the Boston Bruins.

    The New York Rangers announced a 48-man roster heading into its first preseason game on September 24th against the Boston Bruins.

    Maxim Barbashev, Seth Barton, Zach Berzolla, Ryan McCleary, and Sahil Panwar have been assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL.

    Joe Arntsen, Bryce McConnell-Barker, Max McCue, James Petrovski, and Dylan Roobroeck will return to their respective junior teams.

    The club also released Brad Arvanitis from his PTO.

    For the remainder of training camp, the roster will feature 27 forwards, 16 defensemen, and 5 goaltenders:

    Defensemen (16): Nikolas Brouillard, Adam Clendening, Ty Emberson, Adam Fox, Erik Gustafsson, Ben Harpur, Blake Hillman, Mac Hollowell, Zac Jones, Ryan Lindgren, Connor Mackey, K’Andre Miller, Matthew Robertson, Brandon Scanlin, Braden Schneider, Jacob Trouba.

    Mika Zibanejad left practice today with an injury classified by Peter Laviolette as a "day-to-day" upper-body injury.
