Boo Nieves had some very high praise for Alexis Lafreniere. He thinks that if Lafreniere can make the permanent switch to playing on his off-wing, it will benefit both him and the Rangers in the long term.

The game has changed a lot over the past decade. One of the key talking points this Summer is if Alexis Lafreniere could succeed playing as a right winger.

Boo Nieves is a former NHL player that can speak to what it is like to play the right-wing position for the New York Rangers as a left-handed shooter.

Nieves went joined The Blue Crew podcast to talk about his time as a player on the Rangers, as well as the current state of the team. One of the main talking points, which has been a very popular subject this Summer, was Lafreniere potentially moving permanently to the right side.

"He's a skill guy. Super young, super talented, he's got a lot of potential. I think that if he can figure that out, which I don't see why he wouldn't be able to, I think he can make an awesome career out of it. Just thinking about skating up that wing at MSG with that puck on your backhand, the world's your oyster at that point."
