Peter Laviolette announced that Adam Edström will be out of the New York Rangers’ Sunday night game against the Vegas Golden Knights with a lower-body injury. 

When asked for a further update on Edström’s status, Laviolette said he is still being evaluated at the moment.

Edström suffered this apparent lower-body injury on Saturday afternoon against the Boston Bruins. He left the game early and ultimately did not return.

It’s unclear if this injury is severe or not.

The 24-year-old forward has recorded five goals, four assists and nine points in 51 games while averaging 9:16 minutes.
