Artemi Panarin's lower-body injury does not seem serious.

Artemi Panarin is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

The 32-year-old forward exited Tuesday night’s preseason game against the New Jersey Devils early and ultimately did not return.

Panarin missed practice on Thursday, but the team confirmed that his injury is just day-to-day as it doesn't seem overly serious.

Throughout training camp Panarin has been dealing with injuries. He suffered a lower-body injury last week in the Rangers’ preseason game against the Islanders, which also kept him out for one practice.

It’s safe to assume that Panarin won’t miss opening night on Oct. 9 and the Rangers are just being precocious with their superstar in order to not risk further injury.
