There was a little bit of a scare when Artemi Panarin went to the locker room after suffering a lower-body injury, but there is nothing to be worried about.
After exiting the game in the third period, it was unclear what happened to Panarin and how serious the injury was.
However, Peter Laviolette confirmed after Wednesday’s practice that Panarin is just day-to-day and is hoping he will appear in another preseason game.
Panarin was not at practice for the Rangers today, but it doesn't appear that this lower-body injury is serious at all, which is relieving news for Rangers fans.
It’s unclear how long he’ll be held out of practice for, but in terms of playing in the preseason, the Rangers may serve on the side of caution for the next couple of matchups.
The 32-year-old forward is coming off of a season where he had 49 goals, 71 assists and 120 points.
There is little concern that this injury will linger at all into the regular season.
