Braden Schneider will miss the final two games of the regular season as he deals with an upper-body injury.

This news comes one day after the New York Rangers were eliminated from playoff contention.

According to Vince Z. Mercogliano of USA Today, Schneider has been playing through an upper-body injury for some time now, but there are no concerns about it lingering into next year.

In 80 games this season, the 23-year-old defenseman recorded six goals, 15 assists and 21 points in 80 games while averaging 17:52 minutes per game.

The Rangers recalled Matthew Robertson from the Hartford Wolf Pack with Schneider out for the remainder of the season.
