Chris Kreider will not play for the New York Rangers against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday afternoon as he’s been ruled out with an upper-body injury.
It’s unclear what specific injury Kreider sustained, but he was seen in pain toward the end of the Rangers’ 8-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday.
He’s been listed as day-to-day. Kreider skated with the rest of the team for warmups, but clearly wasn’t healthy enough to play.
The 33-year-old forward has recorded 17 goals, 4 assists and 21 points in 48 games while averaging 17:14 minutes.
