    1. Chris Kreider has been a good Ranger – This past season EXCLUDED – but he does not deserve to have a banner raised in his honor whether he's traded or not or voted mayor of Lazyville.

    2. The issue is front and center because GM Chris Drury seems about to conclude a deal that will send Comrade Chris to some distant shooting gallery in far away Anaheim. And don't even ask me why the Ducks would want an over the hill, overpaid tortoise.

    3. Does it matter whether it's Anaheim or the place where the Kraken or Mammoth play? Nah, it doesn't matter since Drury's been plotting to dump Kreider since last Fall.

The Rangers And Ducks Are Reportedly In Advanced Discussions On A Trade Involving Chris Kreider The Rangers And Ducks Are Reportedly In Advanced Discussions On A Trade Involving Chris Kreider A Chris Kreider trade is reportedly in the works.

    4. Why not? Kreider's last hurrah was the playoff hat trick that knocked off the Canes. Since then he's been playing Tortoise Hockey and Rangers fans – who really get it – have had enough of the dear boy.

    5. An MSG Banner for Chris? Never. If the Garden sages ever wise up, the next banner should be for Hall of Fame center, coach and then manager FRANK BOUCHER, who did everything for the team short of sharpening Ching Johnson's skates.

    6. Boucher began his Rangers career in 1926, guided them to their first Stanley Cup a year later and again in 1933 and coached the legendary 1940 Champs. Frank's Blueshirt career lasted until 1955; for a total of 29 Rangers years.

    7. There are suits in the MSG hierarchy who must know about Boucher and his fame. Yet they stubbornly avoid the obvious; Boucher should be honored with a banner. Period! Not Kreider.

    8. Here's how the always-sage Sean (Blue Collar Blueshirts) McCaffrey feels about the David Quinn hire: "It has to be so weird for Quinn to return to a boss who, in his first move once taking over, fired him."

    9. An even better needle from Sean: "Even weirder is to have a lot of players – who just four years ago told Drury that he needed a new coach – still remain."

    10. The Maven has concluded that J.T. Miller should NOT be the next captain. I didn't like the way that he was in such a big hurry to go play golf after the season. My guess is that he had too much putting on his mind instead of passing.
