Here's what Elias Pettersson had to say following the blockbuster trade that sent J.T. Miller to the Rangers.

The saga between J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson is officially over now that the Vancouver Canucks have traded Miller to the New York Rangers.

Rumors, drama and turmoil have circulated around the Canucks organization for months due to a reported feud between Miller and Pettersson.

Following the trade that sent Miller to the Rangers on Friday night, Pettersson was almost at a loss for words when asked about how Miller’s departure would positively impact him.

“I don’t want to get into that, all we can do is look forward,” Pettersson said. “I don’t even know what to say, but all we can do is look forward.”

While the negatives of their relationship shine the brightest, Pettersson believes that things weren’t all bad with Miller.

“I think we’ve had some really good moments,” Pettersson said about his relationship with Miller. “He’s a player that made both of each other better.”

Pettersson also spoke positively about Miller’s contributions to the team and what they’ll miss moving forward.

“We lose our skillful power forward,” Pettersson said. “His play speaks for itself. All we can do now is look forward. I wish him the best.”

It’s all water under the bridge as Miller moves on to this next chapter in New York.
