How badly is Fiery Filip Chytil hurt? That's the question that should be asked, insists my sidekick Jess Rubenstein.
Okay, so I ask it and – well – you know the rest; you are plunged into the realm of anatomical mystery.
All you get from the Rangers hospital orderlies is "Upper-Body Injury."
Here are the "Upper Body" possibilities:
1. HEAD: Fil got a bad haircut. (That can hurt a man.)
2. NECK: A stiff neck from listening to Lavvy's warmed over speeches from last year.
3. CHEST: No comment.
4. ARMS: Arthritic hands from signing so many autographs for The Faithful.
As you can see, it's futile to guess unless your third-cousin-twice-removed also happens be the Rangers head medic. But he'll only tell you what The Maven tells you – bad haircut.
On a more serious note, whenever Fiery Fil is out with yet another injury, the inevitable wound is to his cranium, alias head, alias upper-body injury.
CONCLUSION: Let's hope it's only a bad haircut until we're told
