Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final between the Rangers and Panthers will most likely feature the return of Filip Chytil.

New York Rangers forward Filip Chytil is expected to play in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final tonight against the Florida Panthers.

Stan Fischler On Rangers Cup Chances

After suffering a concussion back in November, Chytil missed the remainder of the regular season and has only played in one of the Rangers 10 playoff games thus far.

The 24-year-old hinted at his return yesterday as he seems anxious to contribute in the playoffs for the Rangers.

"I had a good couple of practices with the guys," Chytil said. "It's just so much fun to be here with everybody, be involved in all the drills, every battle, and it's going to be nice to be involved in [Game 1] as well."

Chytil has been practicing on the third line alongside Alex Wennberg and Kaapo Kakko, so it’s likely he plays with these two forwards once Game 1 rolls around.

The presence of Chytil will certainly add more firepower to the Rangers’ bottom-six and provide this team with an offensive spark at the perfect time.

The young forward also practiced on the second wave of the power play as his impact could go beyond just even strength play.

The Rangers are set to play Game 1 against the Panthers tonight in New York at 8:00 PM EST.
